Hi, my name is
Aaron Myers
I build payment systems at scale.
I'm a Senior Software Engineer at Zego (a Global Payments company), where I've spent the last decade building full-stack applications. These days I lead the design of distributed systems that move billions of dollars in rent payments. On the side, I build and ship Retext, a macOS app of my own. I'm happiest working on hard problems with good people.
Side Projects
Apps and tools I build in my spare time.
Grocery Voice
A voice-first iOS grocery app: say your list out loud and AI turns it into an organized, aisle-ready list—then sends it straight to your real Kroger cart. Built end to end in a week.
Retext
A macOS text expansion app with AI-powered snippet generation. Type a short trigger anywhere and it expands instantly—or describe what you want and let Claude write it for you.
DiffSmith
In progressAn agentic AI pull-request reviewer I'm building. Instead of dropping a diff into one prompt, it gives an LLM real tools—reading files, searching the codebase, checking git history—and keeps itself honest with an eval harness.
Projects at Zego
Payment systems I've architected and led at Zego (a Global Payments company).
Flexible Payments System
Architected a distributed payment system enabling tenants to split monthly rental payments. Supports 75% of company revenue.
Payment Authentication Platform
In progressLeading implementation of credit card payment authentication, targeting ~$16M in chargeback liability reduction.
Payments Platform Migration
Key contributor to platform transition from 1.0 to 2.0, modernizing CI/CD and extracting PHP monolith to microservices.
Giving Back
Supporting organizations that make a difference.
Global Frontiers Project
Rebuilt the website for this 501(c)(3) non-profit from the ground up on the T3 Stack—a custom CMS, event calendar, and role-based admin dashboard. I also served as a Field Representative in Montenegro in 2021-2022.
Let's Work Together
I'm always happy to talk shop, whether it's a tricky problem, a role you're hiring for, or just comparing notes on building things. Drop me a line.
